Facit CA2-16

Details:

In many machines the carriage is mounted on top of and outside the machine.  The Facit has a very compact mechanism mounted inside. Unusual is the use of an alternating current motor in stead of the more usual universal motor.

In 1974, Büromaschinen Lexikon still mentiones the Facit 1007 similar to the CA2-16 but with a plastic cover. However it doesn’t  mention it’s price anymore. It was catalogued as:  “Price on request”.  By this time electronic machines with memory were smaller, faster and much cheaper than the 1007.  They must have been hard to sell.

The photo left-under shows two repair notes, one mentions the removal of grease, the other the replacement of a machine part.

The photo right-under shows the replica of the user manual. It was printed from a .pdf file.
